You tell us so often that our productions are “better than Broadway.”
You ask, “How do you do it? How do you build great sets on such a tiny stage?” Simply put, we are a small band of thespians with big imaginations, meticulous about casting and creative in the use of limited space, out-dated technology and “found” objects. Yet we are frustrated because knowing that as good as we are, we want to be better!

THE PRTC GIVING TREE
                      

We ask you to be our partners by enabling us to upgrade 25 year-old theatrical equipment and purchase new items that will allow us to store and re-use lumber, set pieces, costumes, and props. As a non-profit organization, making money is not our primary goal; it is a means to keep PRTC a thriving cultural force in this community, our community…something that you choose to support.
Stage Extension Redesign: The existing nook in Conant Hall is too small to be suitable for theatrical productions. We extend it with 25 year-old makeshift platforms that need constant repair. Our plan is to construct a new extension out of lightweight yet durable decking material for easy carrying and storage with optional leg heights to create varying levels.  We have the people to design and build it; we need the materials. Lighting Up-grade/Expansion: Lighting is a challenge in Conant Hall. Thanks to your generosity we bought a new light board a few seasons ago. We plan to add to the three lighting bars on the ceiling and expand the 12 overhead circuits to 24 in order to optimize the range of effects.  If you have lights to donate or wish to buy a share in this project…

21st Century Sound System: Our “sound system” is in fact a handful of old stereo components. Digital devices compatible with modern sound sources will allow us to create and edit effects and run more complex sound cues. PRTC’s Home away from Conant Hall (aka Additional Storage Shed): We own one 8x 12 foot unit located on the grounds of the Pound Ridge Highway Department which has been very generous in allowing us to “park our stuff” there! Over the years we have acquired a collection of set pieces, doors, windows and flats, some of which have had to be thrown out due to lack of storage space. To manage our small production budgets, we need to re-use every scrap!!  If you have a shed to donate or wish to buy a share of this project…
